We are excited to announce that one of our IdeaLab Research members has co-authored a new article in the journal Ecological Indicators: “Spatial distribution of mangrove soil organic carbon in Indus Delta, Pakistan: A multi-sensor remote sensing and machine learning approach”

This study applies a combination of remote sensing datasets and machine learning techniques to estimate and map the spatial variability of soil organic carbon in mangrove ecosystems of the Indus Delta. The findings contribute valuable insights into the role of mangroves in climate change mitigation, carbon storage, and ecosystem management in Pakistan.
